Zola Bench Seat

The Zola Bench Seat is 150cm long and 42cm high, upholstered in chalk boucle on two sculptural pedestal legs. The fabric is 100% polyester rated 110,000 on the Martindale scale. It arrives fully assembled.

A Martindale count of 110,000 is a commercial-grade figure and well beyond what a domestic bench needs, which tells you something about where this piece is expected to live. On a bench, the fabric takes the whole load of people sliding across it rather than settling into it, so an abrasion rating matters more here than it does on a sofa of the same fabric.

The pedestal legs are the reason to choose this over a four-legged bench. With the supports pulled well inside the ends, the bench can be pushed under a table without the legs meeting the table's own, and it reads as floating rather than as a second set of legs cluttering the floor beneath the table.
