Uyuni Triple Wick Pillar

The Uyuni Triple Wick Pillar is a wide flameless candle measuring 15.2cm square, with three separate flames that flicker independently. It runs on two C batteries for about 400 hours. Nordic White, unscented, with a built-in 6 hour timer.

Three flames instead of one changes the character completely. A single wick gives you a point of light; three moving out of step with each other gives you something closer to a fireplace, with the light shifting across the room rather than staying put.

The trade-off is battery life. Three LEDs draw more than one, so this runs around 400 hours where the single wick pillars manage a thousand. Still a long time, but worth knowing. At 15.2cm square it is a substantial object and wants to be the only candle on a surface rather than part of a group. On a hearth in winter, or as the centrepiece of a long dining table, it does the job that would otherwise take five separate candles.
