dBodhi Shelfmate Oval Type E

The dBodhi Shelfmate Oval Type E is the smallest of the oval range at 20cm wide, in natural reclaimed teak within a hand-welded wrought iron frame. Its rounded rectangular form softens the usual shelf silhouette. Article code OMT492010PC.

Rounding the corners is a small change with a noticeable effect. A square-cornered shelf reads as architectural and hard, whereas a rounded rectangle reads as an object placed on the wall, closer to a frame than a fixture.

At this size it is a single-purpose shelf, holding one small plant, a candle or a couple of books. That limitation is also its use: it works in the narrow spaces where nothing else fits, and in a curated wall arrangement it provides the smallest note. Hand-welding the iron frame means the corners have slight irregularities rather than machine precision, which suits the reclaimed teak sitting inside it. Natural finish keeps the timber tone visible against the black metal.
