dBodhi Shelfmate Oval Type B

The dBodhi Shelfmate Oval Type B measures 35cm wide with a rounded rectangular form, in reclaimed teak and hand-welded wrought iron. It sits between the smallest and mid-sized units in the oval range. Article code OMT492011PC.

Thirty-five centimetres is the width where a wall shelf becomes properly useful. It holds a row of three or four books, or a plant with something beside it, rather than being limited to a single object.

In a grouped arrangement this is the connective size, filling the space between the small Type E and the wider units without either dominating or disappearing. The rounded corners keep the outline soft, which matters when several are hung together, since sharp rectangles in a group can look like a filing system. Reclaimed teak in a natural finish gives each shelf its own grain, so a wall of them has variation built in rather than looking mass-produced.
