dBodhi Shelfmate Oval Type A

The dBodhi Shelfmate Oval Type A is the widest of the oval range at 65cm, in reclaimed teak within a hand-welded wrought iron frame. Its rounded rectangular silhouette stays minimal. Article code OMT492014PA.

Sixty-five centimetres makes this the anchor of a Shelfmate wall. In any grouped arrangement something has to be the largest element that the others are composed around, and this is the unit that plays that role.

On its own it works above a sofa or a bed, where a narrower shelf would look lost against the furniture beneath it. The width takes a substantial row of books, framed art leaning against the wall, or a spread of objects with space between them, which is usually the better-looking option. The hand-welded frame and salvaged teak mean this is not a precision-manufactured item, and the slight irregularities are what give a wall of them their character.
