Riley Barstool - Copeland Hazel

The Riley Barstool in Copeland Hazel is 56cm wide, 53cm deep and 88cm high with an Antique Bronze frame. The 100% polyester upholstery carries a Martindale rating of 100,000. Arms, a supportive back and a footrest at 21cm are all included.

This colourway publishes the numbers the other Riley listing leaves out, and they are the ones that decide whether a barstool works. A 45cm seat width with arms means the arms are usable rather than decorative, and an arm height of 80cm sets whether the stool will slide under a benchtop with the arms in place.

The 26cm back is low by design and worth understanding before buying. It supports the lumbar and stops there, which keeps the stool from blocking sightlines across an island, and it is the reason a run of these does not visually wall off a kitchen the way high-backed stools do.

Antique bronze is the warmer of the two Riley frames and the more forgiving in a kitchen with brass or copper fittings. Matt black asks the rest of the room to be monochrome; bronze does not.
