Prisha Marble and Timber Console

The Prisha Console in Black Marble is 192cm wide, 45cm deep and 85cm high, with a marble top on a timber base. At 85cm it is taller than most consoles, putting the top above bench height. At 45cm deep it still takes little floor for its length.

Height is what separates this from an ordinary console. At 85cm the top is above a kitchen bench, which makes it a surface to work at standing up rather than one you look down onto, and that suits a hallway where things are set down in passing.

Black marble reads as a solid dark plane from across a room and only shows its veining close up, which grounds a long piece rather than drawing attention to it.

The caveat is honest. Marble is porous even when sealed, so anything acidic wants wiping straight away, and a 192cm stone top is heavy enough to need two people and a plan rather than a shove.
