Pluto Buffet - Brick

The Pluto Buffet in Brick is 200cm wide on bold circular legs, with a case 590mm tall on a 160mm base. Internal shelves measure 760mm wide, 410mm deep and 240mm high, with 518mm of internal height. Brick is the strongest colour the range offers.

Brick on a two-metre buffet is a decision about the whole room rather than about the piece. A red-brown at this scale sets the temperature of a dining space and will pull colour out of terracotta, leather and timber already in it. Against a cool grey scheme it will argue.

What makes it work is the leg. Circular legs lift a long case clear of the floor, so the colour reads as a band rather than a block, and you see skirting and rug running underneath.
