Owen Shelving Unit

The Owen Shelving Unit in New Oak is 90cm wide, 42cm deep and 185cm high, in solid oak with a light natural finish. Open shelves display books and objects. It is designed to be combined with other Owen units.

New Oak is the paler of the two finishes and the more forgiving in a room with existing timber. A light oak sits beside almost any floor without needing to match it, where a dark mocha either agrees with the floor or argues with it and rarely lands in between.

Open shelving at this height needs editing to look right. A full wall of books reads as a library and a half-empty one reads as unfinished; the useful target is roughly two thirds full, with the gaps deliberate rather than left over.
