Orson Round Desk - Putty
View By Appointment
The Orson Round Desk in Putty is 150cm wide, 60cm deep and 74cm high, with one end curved. The curve takes the corner off the side you walk past rather than the side you sit at. It gives a full working width without a hard edge in the room.
Most desks are rectangles because rectangles are cheap to make, not because a rectangle is the right shape for a room. A desk is usually approached from one end, and that end is where a corner catches a hip. Rounding it is a small change that buys back walking room in a study or a bedroom corner.
At 60cm deep this is on the shallow side, which is correct for a laptop or a single monitor and wrong for two screens and a keyboard tray. At 74cm high it takes a standard chair without a footrest.
The caveat is storage. There is none built in beyond the top surface, so plan for a drawer unit or shelves nearby rather than assuming the desk will absorb the clutter.
