Mimi Barstool

The cut-out in the backrest is not only a shape. It breaks up what would otherwise be a solid panel at eye level, so a row of these across an island reads as a line of frames rather than a screen, which matters in an open-plan room where the kitchen is seen from the living area.

At 97cm overall this is the tallest stool in the range, and the height is in the back rather than the seat. It suits a bench at around 90cm, which the listing states, and gives real support behind the shoulders where a low-backed stool gives none.
