Marianna Marble Tray

The Marianna Marble Tray is a hand cut marble tray with a circular rim, made in 51 x 51 x 5cm and 61 x 61 x 5cm. Each one is carved, finished and polished by hand by Indian artisans. The grey and yellow inclusions running through the stone are natural to the marble.

A raised rim changes what a tray is capable of. Bottles, glasses and small objects stay where you put them, which makes the larger size a workable bar tray rather than a purely decorative one.

Cutting stone this size by hand takes time and the evidence is there in the finish around the curve of the rim. The 51cm suits a coffee table or the top of an ottoman, while the 61cm is big enough to organise an entire surface in one move. Expect the colour to vary, since no two blocks of marble come out of the ground alike.
