Lucia Curve Dining Table - Sand Dune
View By Appointment
The Lucia Curve Dining Table in Sand Dune is 152cm by 139cm and 76cm high, with a rounded squared top rather than a true circle. The corners are pulled in, so it seats like a round table but fills a rectangular room better. It seats six.
A softened square is the shape that suits most dining rooms and almost nobody sells. A circle wastes the corners of a rectangular room; a rectangle puts two people at the ends staring down the length. At 152cm by 139cm this sits between the two.
Because the width and depth differ slightly, orientation matters. Put the longer axis along the room rather than across it, and allow about 75cm clear all round for chairs to pull out.
The caveat is weight and finish. This is a solid composite rather than timber, which is why it goes outside, and it is heavy enough to be positioned once rather than moved with the seasons.
