Livorno Round Dining Tables - Grey Speckle

The Livorno Round Dining Table in Grey Speckle is 150cm across on a fibrestone and solid resin pedestal, with a base 620mm in diameter. A PU lacquer coating handles daily use. The speckled finish carries texture, so it does not read as a flat grey slab.

The 620mm base diameter is the specification that decides whether a pedestal table works. Too narrow and a large top feels precarious; at 620mm under a 150cm top there is enough footprint to stay planted when somebody leans on the edge.

Fibrestone with solid resin gives the base real weight and a stone-like surface without the fragility of actual stone. The speckle is doing quiet work: a flat grey top of this size would read as a slab, while a flecked finish gives the eye texture to settle on and hides the dust and marks a uniform surface would broadcast. The PU lacquer is the protective layer, and like any lacquer it prefers a cloth to an abrasive cleaner.
