Leon Round Dining Table - Porcelain

The Leon Round Dining Table in Porcelain is 180cm across and 74cm high, on a single central pedestal. With no legs at the perimeter, chairs go anywhere around the edge instead of into fixed gaps. It seats eight without anyone straddling a leg.

A pedestal is the reason to buy a round table rather than a square one of the same footprint. Four legs decide where people sit; a pedestal lets you add the extra chair at Christmas without anybody ending up with timber between their knees.

At 180cm across, allow about 75cm clear all round for pulled-out chairs. That puts the real floor requirement closer to 3.30m in each direction, which is the figure worth chalking on the floor before committing.

The practical caveat with any pedestal table is edge load. Lean hard on one side while the other is empty and it will rock, so it is not the table to sit on the corner of.
