Tapering the edge makes a slab that heavy read as a fine line from a seated position while keeping the mass visible from across the room, which is the effect a thin top cannot produce and a plain thick one cannot soften.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAt 75kg with knock-down assembly, plan the room before it is built.
