Frankie 200 Dining Table

The Frankie Dining Table is 200cm long, 100cm wide and 76cm high, built entirely from ash veneer with a water-based sealer. The top is a thick 60mm tapered slab on tubular legs. It weighs 75kg and arrives knock-down.

The measurement that decides whether your chairs fit is not the length. It is the 690mm between the legs on the short sides, which is what governs how many chairs can sit at each end and whether an armchair will go there at all. Most dining armchairs are wide enough that one fits comfortably in that span and two do not.

A 60mm top is thick for a veneered table and it is doing visual work. Tapering the edge makes a slab that heavy read as a fine line from a seated position while keeping the mass visible from across the room, which is the effect a thin top cannot produce and a plain thick one cannot soften.

At 75kg with knock-down assembly, plan the room before it is built. Frankie is not a table that gets nudged into place afterwards.
