Elton Planter L

The Elton Planter L is 32cm square and 25cm high, cast in solid cement with a matte white finish. Its weight and generous proportions suit a larger indoor plant. There is no drainage hole.

At this size cement stops being a texture choice and becomes a structural one. A large plant with a tall stem is top-heavy, and a heavy base is what keeps it upright without staking, which a lightweight resin or thin ceramic pot of the same dimensions cannot do.

The weight has a cost worth knowing before delivery. A 32cm cement planter with soil and a mature plant in it is not something to move on a whim, so decide the position first, and put felt pads or a plant stand underneath if it is going on timber.

A matte white cement reads as plaster rather than as concrete, which is a warmer and quieter effect. It sits well in a room of soft finishes where a raw grey concrete would feel imported from somewhere else.
