Elegant Trinity Lazy Susan

The Elegant Trinity Lazy Susan is a 40cm white turntable, 6cm high, for passing dishes around a table. The rotation mechanism is smooth and the base is stable. A wipe with a damp cloth keeps it clean.

A lazy susan changes the mechanics of a shared meal. Instead of dishes being passed hand to hand, or someone reaching across, everything comes to each person in turn with a spin. For shared-plate eating that is a genuine improvement rather than a novelty.

At 40cm across it holds a decent spread of small dishes, condiments or appetisers, which suits it to a round table or the centre of a rectangular one. The 6cm height keeps the food close to table level rather than raising it awkwardly. White and unornamented is the sensible choice for something that sits under food, since the dishes provide the colour. Stability matters more than it sounds: a wobbly turntable with full bowls on it is a problem.
