dBodhi Karma Charcoal Dresser 6 Drawers

The dBodhi Karma Charcoal Dresser is the black edition of the Karma, with six soft close drawers faced in handwoven coconut midrib-leaf panels. It measures 145cm wide and 100cm high. Hand-built from reclaimed teak.

Six drawers in a 145cm width means each one is generous rather than shallow, which is the difference between a dresser that holds a wardrobe and one that holds odds and ends. At 100cm high, the top drawers sit at a comfortable working height.

The black finish over coconut midrib weave is the interesting part. Where the natural version reads warm and organic, blackening it pushes the same piece towards mid-century and slightly formal, so it suits a bedroom that leans modern rather than rustic. Soft close on all six is not a small thing in a bedroom where drawers get opened early and late. The finely crafted handles are the retro element, deliberately at odds with the contemporary matte finish.
