dBodhi Coco Dresser 6 Drawers

The dBodhi Coco Dresser has six drawers faced in handwoven coconut palm midrib, on a reclaimed teak frame with iron legs. It measures 150cm wide and 100cm high. The frame is set at a slight angle rather than square.

Coconut palm midrib is an unusual facing material and it is what makes this piece. Woven across the drawer fronts, it turns six flat panels into a textured surface that catches light differently through the day, which a plain timber front simply cannot do.

The slightly angled frame is the other decision worth noticing. Rather than a rectangular box, the case leans just enough to break the symmetry, which stops a tall six-drawer dresser reading as a slab. Iron legs lift it off the floor and add an industrial note against all that natural fibre. At 150 x 100cm this is a substantial piece of bedroom storage, and the six drawers are generously sized rather than shallow.
