dBodhi Alpha Dining Table
The dBodhi Alpha Dining Table at 320cm is the second largest in the range, on solid reclaimed twin teak beam legs. At this length it becomes an architectural element rather than only furniture. Teak top, artisan built.
Beyond about three metres a dining table stops being a piece of furniture you place in a room and starts defining the room around it. At 320cm the Alpha does that: seating arrangements, lighting and circulation all have to be planned around it rather than the other way round.
That is a commitment worth being clear-eyed about. It needs a genuinely large space, ideally with clearance on all sides for chairs to pull out, and delivery access should be checked before ordering. What you get in return is a table that seats twelve or more without anyone perching at a corner. The twin teak beams underneath are visually essential at this length, since slender legs under three metres of solid timber would look inadequate whether or not they held.
