A sleigh back is an old shape and it works for a physical reason. The outward roll at the top puts the support behind your shoulder blades rather than against them, which is more comfortable over an hour than a straight back at the same height.

At 68cm wide this is a true single chair, narrow enough to fit where a wider lounge chair would not. The 84cm height means it reads as a proper armchair rather than an accent piece.

The caveat is that the curve takes space the footprint does not show. The back leans out at the top, so allow a few centimetres clear of the wall or the chair will sit proud of the skirting.
