Benjamin Ripple Grand Desk

The Benjamin Ripple Grand Desk is a 200cm desk with a rounded oval top in oak veneer, holding three drawers and a concealed cupboard with a removable shelf. The finish is sealed with a water-based sealer. It arrives fully assembled.

An oval desk changes how a workspace feels. The absence of corners removes the boxed-in quality of a rectangular desk pushed against a wall, and it allows the piece to sit out in a room as a freestanding object rather than being hidden in an alcove.

Storage is the reason to choose this over a simple table. Three drawers handle the small things, and a concealed cupboard with a removable shelf takes the larger items that would otherwise sit visible: files, a printer, cables. Keeping those out of sight matters more in a home office than a commercial one, because the room usually has to stop being an office in the evening. Note there are no cable holes, so plan the routing.
