Benjamin Ripple Bedside - Matt Black

The Benjamin Ripple Bedside in Matt Black is oak veneer with a ripple motif across two drawers, finished with matte black metal button handles. It measures 55cm wide, 45cm deep and 55cm high. It arrives fully assembled.

A black bedside is a decisive choice in a room that is usually soft. Against pale bedding and a light wall it becomes a deliberate dark punctuation rather than a piece of furniture blending in, and the ripple motif is what keeps that from being a plain black box.

Texture is the reason this works where a flat black would not. The ripple catches whatever light is in the room, usually a single lamp, and gives the surface something to do at the exact moment you see it most, which is at night. Two drawers rather than one means you can separate what you want to hand from what you want out of sight. At 55cm high it sits above a standard mattress line, so the top stays reachable from lying down.
