Aubury Daybed Left Arm

The Aubury Daybed Left Arm is 190cm long, 80cm deep and 77cm high, upholstered in White Bark at 93% polyester and 7% acrylic. The cushioning is a firm foam and fibre fill. It arrives fully assembled.

Firm foam with a fibre wrap is the fill to want on a daybed rather than on a sofa. A daybed is used lying down as often as sitting, and a soft fill that feels welcoming for ten minutes offers nothing to push against over an hour, whereas a firm core with a softer surface holds the body without going flat.

A Martindale rating of 25,000 puts this a step above the lightest domestic fabrics, which suits a piece that will take shoes, books and the occasional dog. It is still an indoor rating, so a position in direct sun through glass will fade it faster than the rating suggests.

At 80cm deep this is narrower than a single mattress, which is the right way to think about the footprint. It will not double as a spare bed, but it will fit a bay window or a wall a full daybed could not.
