Solid marble throughout, rather than a stone top on a timber or metal base, is the claim that separates this from most marble-look dining tables. It also sets expectations for delivery and placement: a table made entirely of stone is not something to reposition on a whim.

The decagon base is a geometric solution to a practical problem. Ten faces approximate a circle closely enough to avoid a hard corner at ankle height while still reading as architectural rather than turned. Brown vein marble is warmer than the grey-veined whites and pairs more easily with timber chairs. The matte resin sealer keeps the surface from taking on a wet shine and gives the veining somewhere to sit.
