Artie Wave Side Table - Putty

The Artie Wave Side Table in Putty is a 42cm square top on an abstract pillar base, standing 48cm high. It is ash veneer in a soft putty tone. The base is the feature rather than the top.

Some side tables are surfaces with legs. This one is a sculpture that happens to have a surface, and it is worth choosing on that basis: if you want something to disappear beside a sofa, this is the wrong piece.

The wave base reads differently from every angle, so it repays being placed where you walk past it rather than tucked into a corner. Putty is the quietest tone it comes in, which is a sensible pairing with a shape this active; a strong colour on a strong form would be shouting twice. At 42cm square the top is genuinely usable for a lamp and a drink, not just decorative.
